Hear about the transition to renewable energy in your region at the Queensland Community Renewables Forum in Nebo

Queensland is committed to leading the responsible development of sustainable, reliable, and cost-effective energy as part of its transition to renewables.

The Queensland Community Renewables Forums (QCRF) will provide a platform for understanding the long-term benefits for communities and strategies to manage impacts effectively.

Beginning in Miles in July and continuing in Nebo this November, the regional forums will unite communities, the renewable energy sector, and agriculture to discuss the opportunities of this significant energy transition for local areas.

The Queensland Renewable Energy Council, in collaboration with the Queensland Government and Coexistence Queensland, is thrilled to announce the next Queensland Community Renewables Forum in Nebo on Thursday, 28 November 2024.

The Forum serves as a vital platform for connecting the renewable energy industry with regional communities, focusing on the “Why,” “What,” and “How” of renewable energy development. Supported by State and Local Governments, as well as the agriculture, resources, and conservation sectors, the Forum aims to:

  • Enhance support and coordination within the renewable energy industry through clear information sharing.
  • Supporting shared understanding and collaborative problem-solving among all stakeholders in the energy transition.
  • Build lasting, trust-based relationships between the industry and local communities.
